Monthly Meal Planning
I actually don’t typically create a monthly meal plan but instead do weekly meal planning. I was recently inspired to create a monthly meal plan after seeing another influencer do it and was drawn to the idea of only sitting down to meal plan ONE time a month instead of every week.
My hope is that this meal plan can ease some of the stress of meal planning for you and encourage more healthy family dinners with these recipe ideas. I hope it is helpful!

Benefits of Meal Planning
Overall, I am a huge advocate for meal planning, whether that be weekly or monthly because it ultimately can lead to healthier food choices for your precious family and is an efficient approach to managing meals.
- Healthier Eating Habits – When you plan your meals in advance, you are more likely to make healthier eating choices because you aren’t making decisions when you and the family are really hungry and short on time. Having a plan in place is a huge help!
- Saves Time – Though meal planning does take some upfront time, by planning in advance, it actually saves you time throughout your week as you’re not having to think of what to make for dinner every night, run to the grocery store multiple times a week, or go and pick up take-out food.
- Saves Money – Planning your meals in advance leads to fewer impulse buys when you’re grocery shopping since you know exactly what you need on your grocery list. Preparing meals at home is also typically more cost-effective than eating out!
- Reduces Food Waste – When you have a weekly plan or monthly plan, you are using the ingredients that you have in a more efficient way, minimizing the risk of food waste.
- Stress Reduction – Having to come up with a plan for dinner last minute Every. Single. Night. is exhausting, stressful, and chaotic for your brain!! Don’t do this to yourself, mama! Reduce your decision-making stress by creating a plan for your family in advance so meal time can be more enjoyable!
