Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add onion and sausage and saute until sausage is slightly browned.
Drain and rinse the beans and add them to the pot, followed by the remaining ingredients. Stir well.
Cover and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat and let simmer for 10-12 minutes.
