Green Bean Bundles With Brie Cheese and Cranberry Jam

Yield: 9 bundles
These Green Bean Puff Pastry Bundles are a delicious holiday appetizer that are very easy to make! Filled with brie cheese and cranberry jam!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 24-36 green beans trimmed, (2-3 green beans per bundle)
  • 9 slices brie cheese, (you can add two slices to each bundle if desired)
  • 9 teaspoons cranberry jam, (or any preferred jam or use Dijon mustard to make the bundles more savory)
  • Drizzle of olive oil, (on top of each bundle)
  • Black pepper, (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, cover green beans with water and microwave for 3 minutes so that they are bright green and slightly tender. Strain the water and set aside. Note: You don’t have to pre-cook the green beans, they can be rolled up in the bundles raw, but the texture will be more crunchy than when you pre-cook them slightly.
  • Roll a sheet of thawed puff pastry out on a work surface sprinkled with flour, and cut it into 9 squares.
  • Spread about 1 teaspoon of cranberry jam (or preferred jam) or Dijon mustard on each square.
  • Next, divide green beans amongst each square, about 2-3 green beans per square (the ends will be sticking out on either side of the puff pastry).
  • Finally, place a piece of brie cheese (or two!) on top of each green bean bundle and roll each puff pastry square up so that the green beans are sticking out on either side of the bundle.
  • Place bundles in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the tops with olive oil, sprinkle with black pepper (if desired), and bake in the oven for 15 minutes, until golden brown. Note that the cooking time may vary depending on your oven.
  • Allow to cool slightly, transfer to a festive serving platter, and serve!
